IVA : Can I Include A County Court Judgement In My IVA?
A County Court Judgment not only can, but must be included in your Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA).
Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) override County Court Judgments, so that when an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) is approved any debts that were being paid through a County Court Judgment are now covered by the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA).
This has the affect of tidying up payments to creditors and centralizing payment through the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA).
This may mean that an Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) becomes affordable, especially if there was more than one County Court Judgment.
County Court Judgments are passed and then paid individually, when these payments are superceded by the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) it may be that the payment to the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) is not a great deal more expensive than the sum of the County Court Judgment payments, but the Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) covers the total debt owed.
