IVA : Will My Landlord Find Out About My IVA?
The good news is your landlord is not automatically told about your Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA).
When your Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) proposal is approved a record of your Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) is placed on the Individual Insolvency Register which is an online register of Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs) and bankruptcies.
This register is available to any one with access to the internet. So technically your landlord could, like any other member of the public find out about your Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA). In reality it is unlikely that your Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA) will become common knowledge.
This is not the case in a bankruptcy where information of your bankruptcy is publicised.
