Joint IVAs
Joint IVAs are IVAs taken out by two people, usually related, and living at the same address. At myIVA-Adviser.com we can help arrange joint IVAs if they are appropriate.
The idea of a joint IVA is to save money on administration by linking both parties debts in a joint IVA. It often occurs that two people closely related, man and wife for example, will share debts and therefore qualify for a joint IVA. In these cases the insolvency practitioner will be able to reduce the costs of an IVA because the data required will be common to both IVAs. In actual fact joint IVAs are still two separate IVAs on the IVA register but treated in a joint manner from the administrative point of view.
At myIVA-Adviser.com we have an articles page which is full of informative and topical IVA articles including this one called
Which gives a more thorough insight into how joint IVAs work.
